Almond Dream Smoothie

ALMOND DREAM SMOOTHIE
This smoothie really is the dream! It contains a great source of monounsaturated fatty acids and the antioxidant Vitamin E from the almonds. Plus, cinnamon is great for stabilising blood sugar levels.

Ingredients

  • Handful raw almonds (around 10)
  • 1 tsp almond butter (optional)
  • 1 cup almond milk (or milk of your preference)
  • 1 fresh date-pitted and chopped.
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla powder
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 3-4 ice cubes

 

Method

  1. Blend all the ingredients together in a blender
  2. Finish off with some toppings – homemade granola, nuts, seed and berries
