This smoothie really is the dream! It contains a great source of monounsaturated fatty acids and the antioxidant Vitamin E from the almonds. Plus, cinnamon is great for stabilising blood sugar levels.
Ingredients
- Handful raw almonds (around 10)
- 1 tsp almond butter (optional)
- 1 cup almond milk (or milk of your preference)
- 1 fresh date-pitted and chopped.
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla powder
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 3-4 ice cubes
Method
- Blend all the ingredients together in a blender
- Finish off with some toppings – homemade granola, nuts, seed and berries
