Even as I look at all of the notes, binders and bridal magazines scattered across my desk, sometimes I can hardly believe that this planning is for me and Dean! It is an absolutely magical time, but I’m quickly beginning to understand why so many women get stressed out during this process.
This past weekend was especially challenging – because as simple and classic as you might want a wedding ceremony to be, there will inevitably be a variety of opinions, preferences, likes and dislikes. And sometimes that’s just me! In all the excitement (and stress) that can accompany wedding prep, I’m reminding myself how important it is for me to take care of ME. After all, it’s only one day. I don’t want to lose all the days leading up to it to anxiety!
It’s the perfect opportunity to embrace a healthy, balanced way of living – I know good habits will help keep me calm during the planning process and I want to carry it with me into my married life, too.
