Tell us a little about who you are, what you do and how you got here:

I am a kind, giving, loving spirit living in a human body. I am a healer at my core, someone who loves connecting with people. I find people fascinating. I am someone who lives life with very little judgement of others. I believe we are all doing the best we can each and every day.

My journey to uncovering my core being was a challenging one but very rewarding. I have found my personal truth through being honest with myself and others, reaching a point of forgiveness and allowing myself to be vulnerable. Allowing myself to feel, see and understand the pain, anger, frustration and sadness that I have experienced in life, has allowed my soul to open right up and live in its essence. My personal healing has allowed me to step right into my true purpose, which is guiding people to their true potential by listening to their intuition. I have learnt how important it is to feel, listen, believe and trust in my intuitive voice. I would not change any life experience that I have had. I believe I have been given each and every one of them as a gift to find my personal truth and share my wisdom with people on this planet.

What does “health” mean to you?

I nourish my body with whole foods, meditation, lots of silent time, exercise, laughter, self love and love. Conscious intuitive eating has been a big part of my life for the past 9 years, I was intuitively guided to this way of life. It’s important to listen to your body, feed your body the goodness it deserves and exactly what it’s asking for, and move your body every day.

What brings balance to your life?

Loving myself, my body and the people around me. It’s a high priority for me to work towards living a well balanced life of love, family, work, friendships, exercise, social and alone time, whilst consuming food that intuitively feels right to me.

Can you share your food philosophy?

I believe food is your medicine. My guidance around food comes intuitively. Our bodies need variety, this is where it’s important to trust what your intuition is telling you. Throughout my childhood and teenage years I felt a very heavy energy around my body. The day I started eating intuitively the energy in and around my body started to lift. My body spoke loud and clear that the food I was eating was feeding my soul and energised my spirit. I have eaten a diet high in raw foods for a long time now, in saying that my body speaks loud and clear when it wants other foods, I listen and act on this guidance always. When I eat and look at a beautifully prepared raw dish, I can feel the force of energy it gives my body, it’s incredible. I feel light, alive, a sense of clarity and completely satisfied. Still to this day 10 years on, I feel the same effects.

Raw foods are pristine sources of nutrients, readily available for absorption by the body. When you drink a fresh juice blend of carrot, beetroot and apple, or a smoothie with homemade almond milk, cacao, spirulina and banana, you are giving your body a concentrated dose of vitamins and nutrients that can be digested easily and assimilated quickly into the bloodstream. This megadose of natural, plant-based nutrition is loaded with all of the essential compounds that our bodies need for energy and proper functioning, like protein, carbohydrate, fibre, and heart-healthy fat.

Increasing or adding organic produce into your daily eating plan can only enhance your health. We consume so many toxins on a daily as it is, through emotional stress and environmental toxins, so wherever we can reduce the amount of toxins being digested the better. Organic produce is known to have an increase in nutrients and vitamins than normal fruit and vegetables, so it only makes sense to increase where possible.

What is your favourite way to stay active?

My favorites lately are a slow beautiful walk along the beach or a swim with my beautiful dog, Kobi.

How do you silence that inner critic?

The way we live life is a choice, the language we use and mindset we have is a choice. I am human and I definitely have times where I catch myself being negative. What I have learnt over the years are different tools to change and correct my mindset when I hear myself being negative.

I swear by writing in a journal, my journal is like my best friend. If I am challenged in anyway I will stop and write for hours. Asking myself questions, so I can receive clear guidance and shift the emotion that I am presently feeling. This is one of the biggest gifts I have given myself in the past 4 years, it brings peace and clarity to my daily life.

The first thing I will do when I start to feel any form of stress is stop, silence my mind and ask myself questions; where is this stress coming from? What do I need to do to release this stress out of my body? I sit, listen to the guidance I am being given and complete a reflection exercise to release any emotion that is in my body. Other tools are meditation, a beautiful walk along the beach or in nature, turn my oil diffuser on, read, quiet time with my man, and one last thing – I take my shoes off and lie flat on the ground in the garden. It grounds my soul instantly, I love this feeling. I know what it’s like to want to silence that inner critic, to make a change, but not know how to do it. That is why I am dedicated to guiding people to find their true potential through Thinking into Results.

Who is your greatest health inspiration?

I have recently been introduced to Paul Chek, who is an expert in the fields of corrective and high-performance exercise kinesiology. What gravitated me to Paul was his unique, holistic approach to treatment. He treats the body as a whole system, by finding the root cause of a problem, instead of suppressing the health opportunity with medication and the likes, before finding the root cause. I call all health challenges, opportunities. When you think about it, they are opportunities it is god giving you a choice.

Where is your favourite place on earth?

There is no place like home.

What is your favourite healthy snack?

I’m currently obsessed with this Chocolate Sour Cherry Slice. It’s made with a variety of nuts, chocolate, dates, sour cherries and coconut oil – so healthy and delicious. These melt in your mouth!

What is next on the cards for you? Your goals and aspirations?

Some really exciting new is, my fantastic program Thinking into Results. I am on a mission to change lives and show my clients the easiest, fastest way achieve any goals or dreams and become absolutely anything they want to be.

I lived my childhood and teenage years feeling very alone, not loving or knowing myself or believing in my own abilities. I spent many years looking for love in the wrong places, I went through internal pain for a very long time. The freedom that I have felt from healing that little girl inside myself is something so amazing that I can’t explain in words. I want every person on the planet to feel, know and live their true potential by listening and acting on their intuition.

There is a wealth of untapped energy and knowledge inside of everyone, an incredible calm and peacefulness that deserves to be known. There is no doubt in my mind that we are all born with a purpose and a craving to step into this power. I have a burning desire inside to guide people to this place.

Avocado Salad

Serves: 4
Ingredients
  • 1 bunch kale (Tuscan or curly leafed Scots), stems removed
  • 1½ avocados, chopped
  • ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ Lebanese cucumber, thinly sliced
  • Red chili, sliced to taste
  • Coriander to taste
Instructions
  1. Remove stems from kale, wash and chop coarsely. Place into mixing bowl.
  2. Grind salt and pepper through kale and let sit for about 10 minutes to enhance flavour.
  3. Add chopped avocado, red onion, cucumber, red chili, coriander and toss gently through salad.
  4. For avocado dressing, add the following ingredients to food processor: 1 avocado, 6 tsp. lemon juice, 6 tsp. lime juice, ¼ tsp. mustard powder, ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper, coriander to taste, salt and pepper to taste. Blend for about 1 minute, then toss dressing gently through salad. Garnish with flaked almonds, sliced red chili, and enjoy every bite!

When I started my studies, I was drinking lots of coffee and I was eaten the wrong foods, and feel bad about it, I wasn't at my best.
