This gorgeous gal is more than just a talented wholefoods cook – Nadia Felsch is a true inspiration to the wellness community with her simple health philosophy: eat well, look good and feel great. That sounds like an ideal way to live, doesn’t it? I’m thrilled to have Nadia here sharing some of her wisdom as she celebrates a beautiful website makeover and her upcoming eBook Wholebody Wholefoods.

Tell us a little about who you are, what you do and how you got here:

I’m devoted and quite literally obsessed with inspiring and empowering women on their own health journey. Showing how you can eat well, look good and feel great without stress, without labels and without extreme measures.

Food and fitness feel like second nature to me and they always have. It’s where I come alive and it’s where I feel 100% myself immersed in. Sharing my knowledge and expertise in a field that causes so much anxiety to people is such a reward because their journeys’ can very easily turn from anxious to the best thing ever.

Through my blog and eBooks, I share openly the invaluable experience and lessons that I’ve learned on the way to optimal health and wellbeing; from anxious, stressed-out and unhealthy to glowing, fit and grateful.

The focus of what I do is on keeping it simple and relatable for my audience, I’ve been where they are and I know all about the struggle to both feel and look great.

What does “health” mean to you?

Radiance and vitality – to shine from within and wakeup with energy that lasts all day.unnamed


What brings balance to your life?

Movement. Each day I carve out time to move my body and treat it as sacred; allowing myself to calm the mind, feel renewed energy, enjoy myself and be in the moment. It’s in physical challenge (of any degree) that I feel most connected to, and grateful for the body that I inhabit, able to achieve amazing things with the vehicle that carries me each day.

 Can you share your food philosophy?

It’s all about simplicity and eating as close to nature as possible. When you nourish your body with delicious wholefoods, you ‘look good and feel great!’

I have polycystic ovarian syndrome, two autoimmune system diseases and genetic insulin resistance, all for which I don’t take any medication because I’ve made food my medicine!

Rather than eating things from packets or cans, I make my food from scratch and keep it simple. I also feel strongly about listening to your body’s instincts and what it needs/wants. After years of dysfunctional eating and deprivation I have found that eating real food without rules and restrictions is the way to optimal health for me. What this looks like is a 90/10 split – where 90% of the time I enjoy whole and clean foods and 10% of the time I enjoy the foods that don’t best serve me though life would be pretty boring without!

What is your favourite way to stay active?

With a competitive sporting background, movement has always been a huge part of my life and I like to try my hand at lots of things.

However the activity that always feels the best to me is a circuit-style strength workout where I combine minimal rest with functional strength work, the kind of movements that actually assist in day-to-day life.

The options are so varied, challenging and fun! Think ropes, monkey bars, weights and balance work all rolled into one!

How do you silence that inner critic?

By reminding myself of my journey so far. Whether that’s in business or my own health journey, where I’ve come from and the challenges I’ve faced along the way are such an incredible reminder of my capabilities and strength. This trip down memory lane is powerful enough to silence the inner critic within me and show me the opportunities that lay ahead.

Who is your greatest health inspiration? 

My incredible Mum. At 65, she looks like a woman in her early fifties and has the energy and vitality of a 30-something! Still running her own successful Personal Training business, Mum has taught me so much about real food, the importance of staying active throughout your life, challenging yourself and balance. What’s life without a glass of red wine here and there? 

Where is your favourite place on earth?

Italy has an incredibly special place in my heart and has since before I had even visited the country.

My husband and I were married in Positano, on Italy’s Amalfi Coast in July 2014 and when deciding how to celebrate our love, we both knew that Italy was the only option for us!

The food, the history, the beauty and the quality that Italians possess in spades – knowing how to live are all such captivating qualities and a joy to experience.

What is your favourite healthy snack?

Dukkah Rolled Eggs – 2 semi-hard boiled eggs rolled in dukkah spices

Easy to prepare in advance, simple and inexpensive, keeping hunger pangs at bay with a fantastic dose of quality protein and saturated fats.


What is next on the cards for you? Your goals and aspirations?

My new site! A destination for all things food, health and wellbeing and a project that I’ve poured all of my love into over the past few months.

I’m also working towards the release of more eBooks in the next 6-12 months – think delicious raw desserts, refreshing smoothies and juices as well as recreated classic dishes.
There’s currently some exciting collaboration plans in the works with some wonderfully talented people in the health & wellbeing industry so stay tuned!

This dish is the epitome of fresh and simple food and my signature salad. It takes minutes, offers nourishment to your body, looks impressive to guests and works as either a main meal or side accompaniment.


I love it so much it was served at my wedding!

Shaved Cabbage, Radish & Pecorino Salad
  • 1 cup white cabbage, washed and finely shredded
  • 1 medium red radish, washed, topped, tailed and sliced super thin/see-through
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sugar snap peas
  • 1⁄2 tablespoon pecorino cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
  • Pinch of rock salt and crack of ground black pepper
  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl, coating well and arrange on a plate to serve
  2. TIP - A mandolin works a treat to prepare the cabbage and radish

Hi Jessica, I believe in synchronicity so when I was guided to you .on FB I was intrigued and inspired. I turned 46 last week and my husband bought me your book. I wanted to thank you for sharing your wisdom in such a beautifully presented way. My  copy is now filled with tabs and post it notes with actual notes throughout. When I started my studies, I was drinking lots of coffee and I was eaten the wrong foods, and feel bad about it, I wasn't at my best.
