Allow me to introduce the lovely Belinda Anderson of Living from the Inside Out. This incredibly passionate soul has been speaking out and inspiring people to live their best, strongest lives. I’m thrilled that she’s sharing some of her wisdom here today, and I hope you’ll take a cue from her in find a new state of being – starting from within.

NAME: Belinda Anderson

OCCUPATION: Life Coach. Author of  Living from the Inside Out, A Guide to Healing and Transforming your Life from Within. Law of Attraction, Pilates and Meditation teacher.

LOCATION: Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

Tell us a little about who you are, what you do and how you got here:

First and foremost, I am a proud mama to two very precious boys. They are why I do what I do. I have them to thank for making me so much more than my former self (now that’s a whole other story which I share in my book).

I get to live a life I love by helping others transform their lives. Knowing my boys are learning from me by how I ‘live’, not by what I ‘say’ is very important to me as I know children learn what they live.

I empower women who have lost a sense of themselves to discover how to live their happiest, truest, and most fulfilling and abundant life. I guide women to a new state of being and a new way of living. In saying that, I have recently released my 21-Day Mind Cleanse and men have come on board, so now I can add ‘enlightened men’ to my list!

My mission is to empower and inspire as many people as I can to become who they were born to be and create a life they love from the inside out.

Holistic health, exercise, nutrition, positive thinking, personal development, natural and physical therapies, mind/body connection and spirituality all entered my life at different stages. They have dramatically enhanced every aspect of my life, and today I embrace every one of them. They provide the formula for what makes me, ME.

I only “put myself out here” in early 2013 so Living from the Inside Out is still a baby, but a baby that is flourishing rapidly and incredibly beautifully! And why? Because I have discovered my purpose and passion and am simply going where life takes me.

What does “health” mean to you?

To be whole and balanced, our mind, body, heart and soul need to work in harmony with one another. Taking care of them all equally is a powerful step towards overall wellbeing (fixing one and neglecting another will not lead to a truly happy, healthy and fulfilling life). Having all these aspects of ourselves in alignment is what “health” means to me.

What brings balance to your life?

Balance for me is easy as I know what my priorities are and I don’t turn my back on them. If I ever feel myself out of balance, I know I am not being true to myself and that’s when I come back to my values and what’s most important to me.

Can you share your food philosophy?

Nature gets it right, human interference often gets it wrong. Eating food in its natural state is a great way to nurture your mind, body, and spirit. I am an 80/20s girl. I allow myself the not-so-healthy things on occasions, as I know it’s all about moderation. I believe depriving yourself of anything will only make you want it more. However, once you learn to respect your body and condition it against junk food, you will naturally want to fill it with the right fuel so that it performs at its best.

What is your favourite way to stay active?

Pilates, Yoga and walking out in nature. Living in a house with 3 sports-mad boys and 2 very energetic male dogs keeps me active!

How do you silence that inner critic?

I have reached a very happy place in my life and I can honestly say, the inner-critic does not exist within me anymore! It use too, but through a lot of inner-work, she has been kicked out!

True self-worth is something that comes with being secure and confident within yourself, and that generally comes with age and contentment. I am content with who I am. I don’t compare myself to anyone as I know I am here to travel my journey and do things my way by being ME and living my truth.

I have no problem with falling down, facing challenges and setbacks as I know they’re all teaching me and helping me grow. I feel very blessed to have such an amazing family and a life where I get to live my passion and purpose.

Who is your greatest health inspiration?

Oh, there are so many! I am inspired everyday by loads of different people and for many reasons. Off the top of my head I would say: YOU, Jess! You continue to inspire me for so many reasons. Your passion for healthy living can’t go unnoticed – your energy is contagious!

I am also inspired by Jenine from, Kira Westwick (recent Master Chef contestant), Joe Cross from www.fatsickandnearlydead, Lee Holmes from Honestly, I could go on and on!

Where is your favourite place on earth?

There is no place like home. As much as I love to travel, there is absolutely no better feeling than being surrounded by those you love in your own home. I also believe we are incredibly lucky to live in Australia. Every time I travel, I always return home with an immense amount of gratitude for living in such a magnificent country.

What quote best sums up your wellness philosophy?

No-one saves us but ourselves. No-one can and no-one may. We ourselves must walk the path. – Buddha

What is your favourite healthy snack?

Chia pudding or a splash of almond butter on apple slices.

What is next on the cards for you? Your goals and aspirations?

This is my take on goals: Goals are great to have, as they give us clarity and something to aim for; they keep us focused and on track, but is it really the goal we are chasing or a “feeling” of being happy, successful, loved, admired and noticed?

The more study and research I have done, and personal experience I have had with self-development, the more I realise the significance of taking in the now by seizing the moment. By doing this, we relish and prosper in the present moment, rather than hovering and waiting around for the future to come and present us with our big master plan. Why do we need to sit back and wait for better days ahead – what’s wrong with today?

I wake up each day feeling grateful for today as I have complete trust that what is meant to happen, will happen. I believe if you go with the flow of life, do what you love and be your authentic self, the Universe will take over and bring you what you need, which may not be always what you want. Love, trust and allow is a favourite mantra of mine. Controlling and forcing repels, love and trust attracts.

Hi Jessica, I believe in synchronicity so when I was guided to you .on FB I was intrigued and inspired. I turned 46 last week and my husband bought me your book. I wanted to thank you for sharing your wisdom in such a beautifully presented way. My  copy is now filled with tabs and post it notes with actual notes throughout. I am dairy intolerant since having my gallbladder removed 15+ years ago, I don't eat meat, very minimal gluten and was told 12 months ago my gut was not digesting my food properly so I wasn't receiving sufficient nutrients and taking supplements would be a waste of time.  My weight fluctuates tending to gain rather than lose but now I believe I have a tool to help me bring my body back into balance that I need for my health and longevity of life - so again thank you. The first few steps to creating a stronger path forward for my health has found its foundation in your beautiful book, The Healthy Life.

With kindest regards Samantha

I'm writing this email because I wanted to tell you how much I love your blog and how you really helped me in my health journey. Thank you for sharing all your advices and experiences.

When I started my studies, I was drinking lots of coffee and I was eaten the wrong foods, and feel bad about it, I wasn't at my best. So I had done some research on the net but at first I didn't found advices that are for me, and then I found your blog. It was exactly what I was looking for, good advices and healthy recipes. Now I'm following your advices on rest more, and snacks between meals and prep the meals and take time for myself to reconnect with my body and let go my anxiety, etc, and I have a more balanced life and have a new relationship with food thanks to you.

I bought your book and it's honestly the best book I have ever bought. I suffer from IBS and anxiety. I have paid so much money seeing naturopaths however after reading your book and all of your tips I'm noticing so much of a difference, so simple and easy to follow. And symptoms have dramatically decreased. Also you have helped me to relax. Currently drinking the protein health smoothie! Thankyou your amazing.

Hey Jessica!
I haven’t yet brought ‘The Healthy Life’, but I do have the clean life and your slim down plan! I would like to thank you so much for the knowledge your share and the message you put across about health and wellness. I’m studying Nutritional Medicine in Melbourne and absolutely love the philosophy that you share with your JSHealth community. The work you’ve done to show people that leading a healthy lifestyle isn’t boring, tasteless, difficult or depriving is amazing and hope to share the message myself one day. You’ve inspired me to start my own blog , to share the message and have taught me so many things about my own health! You should be proud of your achievements! Thank you again

- Jacinta

I searched for help and tips through the Internet and found Jessica Sepel. This is seriously not exaggerated, but she was the reason why I have dared myself to eat again, to have snacks in between, to nourish my body. I could slowly improve my negative thoughts about my body image and my stupid anxiety of gaining weight. Besides, The Cleanest Gut was awesome too! A huge thank you! Especially from my mum. Seriously, without you I wouldn’t be where I am now!

Congratulations on your new book! It looks absolutely gorgeous. I’ve been following you on Instagram for a few years and you’ve inspired me to slowly but surely eat healthier without giving myself a hard time when I don’t. It made me so happy (and weirdly proud) to see the Daily Mail article on The Healthy Life. I remember trying out your recipes before you even had your eBook out! I can’t wait to get my hands on the book. Keep up the great work.

– Sophie

Cooking in this way truly brought out the foodie in me and has instilled a huge passion for health and wellness! Life throws you hard and frustrating things sometimes but I truly believe that this is where we learn more about ourselves and what our passions in life are! Thank you for inspiring me on my journey to health and wellness!

I am a yoga teacher in Johannesburg and am thrilled to have bought your book today. I love making healthy, nutritious food for my family, friends and fellow yogis! Thank you for this book and your inspiration (had to share a pic of my book on my recipe stand in the kitchen).

– Helene

I bought your beautiful book during the week and told my bestie to go out and buy it also! I love love love it. It is the book I would give to my younger self if I could (I am 41 years old). Everything is just so sensible and informative and is definitely a book all teenagers should have. This should be a text book for girls becoming teens. I will love going back and re-reading it many many times and can't wait to make more of the recipes. Thank you Jess - you are an incredibly inspiring woman and you should feel so proud
