If you’ve been lucky enough to have Tea with Jules, you’ll know what a busy woman she is! As a fashion stylist, online YouTube series visionary and creator of The Sebastian Foundation (with the help of her husband, Guy Sebastian), she knows a thing or two about multi-tasking. Not to mention she’s got two little sons to run around after… She can’t live without avocado (neither can we!) and has an awesome ‘Keep it simple’ approach to healthy eating.   1. Tell us a little bit about yourself – who you are and what you do.


I’m Jules Sebastian. I live in Sydney, married to a lovely man and have 2 beautiful kids, Hudson (4) and Archie (2). I’m a fashion stylist, have an online youTube series called Tea with Jules and have a foundation where we help families in need called The Sebastian Foundation. I’m originally from RADelaide, we have 4 hermit crabs as pets, and my fave thing to do is hang with friends and eat copious amounts of cheese.


  1. Talk us through a typical day in your life…

A typical day would see me be up around 5.30/6am (not by choice!) with my kids, then it’s getting ready for the day, eating breakfast (I normally have avocado smash on toast with tomato on Rye or quinoa flakes porridge with berries), then dressing the kids, making lunch, packing bags ect, and showering! It’s always a bit of a scramble in the mornings but we get there! Hudson goes to pre-school 3 days a week and our nanny takes care of Arch at home on those days so I can get to work.



I could be doing a number of different things on any particular day. Might be a filming day, or preparation for a shoot, or shooting a video or photo’s with a client. Might be a day of visiting showrooms to make pulls, catching up on emails and admin, writing blog posts or travelling interstate for a job. No two days are exactly the same so I just play it by ear and go with the flow! For snacks I try to keep on the healthy train and take carrot sticks with hummus dip, or a Paleo Bar (which are delicious by the way!), but sometimes I fall off the train and will have a sneaky piece of chocolate to give me a sugar hit!



Lunch is normally a chicken salad, or wrap with loads of water throughout the day.


Once work wraps for the day, I’ll head to pick up Huddie from pre-school and spend the rest of the afternoon with the kids either going to the park, a play date with friends or hanging at home jumping on the trampoline or playing games.


On my not so busy work days I like to do a yoga class, visit the gym or go for a walk by the beach which is down the road from us. I am pretty active having 2 small kids but I do like to do extra exercise when I can.


Dinner usually consists of something filling but healthy. My husband and I like to eat as much good food as humanly possible so our main meals are pretty clean. Salmon, chicken, veggies, roasts and salads are usually on the menu. I usually feed the kids first, bath them, stories then bed time, then sit down to eat dinner, catch up on emails, prep for the next day and usually watch a show on Netflix . Head to bed and cross all my fingers and toes that the kids don’t wake through the night! Repeat.



  1. Three foods you can’t live without?


Avocado. Tuna Morney. Tea…does that count as food?!


  1. What’s your go-to snack for those days on the run?


Carrot sticks, hummus, nuts, paleo bars, rice cakes with peanut butter.


  1. … And any last words of advice or tips for those starting out on their health journey?


I am not naturally a healthy eater, I am a sweet tooth from way back so I have had to find the healthy foods I really enjoy eating. Keep it simple. If it is easy to prepare and stash in your bag for a busy day, the more chance you will have of consumption. Don’t beat yourself up if you have a ‘bad’ day, get back on the train and make healthy choices the next time
